Physical and mechanical properties of materials used in construction. Behavior of materials and structures under load. Testing standards, aggregates, cements, concretes, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, wood and wood laminates, and plastics. The objective of this course to provide the student with the basic understanding of civil engineering materials used for construction and perform mix designs for concrete and asphalt.
