《Bridge Engineering》 is a specialized course of bridge engineering direction for civil engineering specialty. Its main content is the construction principle and design calculation method of long-span bridges of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete simply supported beam bridges, masonry and reinforced concrete arch bridges. Through the study of the course 《Bridge Engineering》, we must master the structure principle and design calculation method of the superstructure, the lower structure (without foundation) of medium and small bridges commonly used in our country, and be familiar with the knowledge of bridge construction. In addition, we should understand the structure, calculation and construction characteristics of modern long-span bridges. Emphasis is laid on cultivating students' ability to think independently, so that they can not only engage in the design, construction and supervision of commonly used medium and small bridges, but also use the knowledge they have learned, integrate theory with practice, further study, and gradually have the ability to solve complex bridge problems.
