学生为2023英语专业学生,绝大多数为女生。综合英语水平较好,听说能力较好,班级纪律较好,上课互动较多,对英语写作感兴趣,学习动机较高。

 

三、教学内容与安排

课程简介与要求

《实用英语写作》课程适用于英语专业,属于专业课、限选课程。本课程的教学目的旨在使学生掌握各类英语书信的语言特点及篇章结构,使学生在初步掌握英语写作基本技巧的基础上,将所学英语写作知识应用到实践中去,懂得如何进行生活和工作中常用的应用文文体的撰写,如英文简历、求职信、会议通知、会议纪要、备忘录与内部通知商业报告、旅游行程安排、便条、广告宣传、商业信函等等,本课程的开设可帮助学生掌握日常生活中使用频率高的应用文的格式和写作要求,提高应用文写作的技能。

教材分析与处理

《高校英语应用文写作教程》选用的范文大多数是真实文本或对真实文本稍加改动的材料;书中的写作练习也针对真实的交际需要而设计,强调学生注重中英文化差异,培养一种关注读者的写作态度。大部分写作练习是在对用人单位需求进行调查、对英语专业毕业生跟踪了解后经过分析而确定的。目的在于通过真实的、有现实意义的交际,增强学生的兴趣,激励学生主动积极地学习。

因此课程的思考题及习题的设置必须覆盖教学的核心内容、重点、难点,学生“习”的时间与教学时间之比不少于1:1。教师每节课必须布置“习”题。复习题要以侧重记忆与理解为主;预习题要以侧重引导、提示、布置任务为主;练习题要以侧重思考与运用为主。要使学生通过“习”学会思考、善于思考、勤于思考,使学生通过习题理解基本的写作技巧,提高学生对美文的欣赏水平。
